UCNS Diplomate Directory
Achieving UCNS subspecialty certification and diplomate status is the recognition that a physician has passed a rigorous high-stakes examination that demonstrates they meet the requirements and standards of knowledge set by experts in the subspecialty. UCNS diplomates maintain their certification through a continuous certification (C-cert) process of life-long learning and annual knowledge assessment.
Diplomates must meet the annual maintenance of certification (MOC) requirements for C-cert. Diplomates who do not meet the C-cert requirements for two consecutive years are no longer considered certified and are not included in the online Diplomate Directory.
Certification Status Definitions
UCNS certification does not expire when annual C-cert requirements are met. The diplomate status of meeting the MOC requirements for C-cert is updated annually by March 1st or as outstanding requirements are met.
Certified - Meeting Requirements: Meeting the annual MOC requirements for C-cert
Certified - Not Meeting Requirements: Not meeting the annual MOC requirements for C-cert
Annual Reverification of Certification Status: March 1
